WB 7.2.2022
In 2E this week we enjoyed exploring our new English book 'The Queen's Handbag'. The children enjoyed looking through a range of handbags the Queen might use. The children explored an evening bag, an adventure bag, a work bag and events bag. The children learnt to orally rehearse sentences to ask questions about the bags. We have been learning to use a range of question words (who, what, where, when, how, why, can do).
In Maths we learnt to measure in cm. We learnt to use greater than and less than symbols. We sometimes need to remember that a ruler must start at 0cm not just the edge of the plastic. But the children did a great job of this! They particularly enjoyed measuring objects around the classroom. We also explored measuring in metres.
In Science the children looked at real life flowers to label and discussed the function of the parts of the flower.
We had a lovely week.
