WB 21.2.2022
In our circle time discussion this week the children enjoyed sharing news from their half term. It was wonderful to see so many diaries returned. Thank you for your support with this. We are going to display them in our classroom.
In Maths the children have enjoyed learning about fractions. The children did a great job at identifying whole and parts.
This week the children enjoyed learning about Blossom Trees.
Blossom is really another term for flowers.
A common sight in spring are the clusters of small flowers that grow along the branches of certain fruit trees, such as apples, pears, cherries and plums.
The flowers grow in large numbers, decorating the trees in pretty, pastel shades of pink and white. Blossom is part of the life cycle of the fruit tree. In Science next week we will be looking at life cycles.
The children enjoyed using the tissue paper to create a texture. They could talk about their picture and discuss how their work made them feel.
"I feel happy because it is bright and colourful."
"I loved creating my picture, it made me feel calm and cheerful."
