Parent's are instrumental in consolidating and supporting their child's learning journey at home. We have been so pleased with the fantastic partnerships we have created with our parents through Tapestry. Parent's feel up to date with their child's progress and specific areas for development. Please find below some feedback from current parents. 

 

I can’t recommend the EYFS setting any higher, Emily is super excited to go to school every day and can’t wait to tell me what she has been doing. She has already formed a lovely circle of friends and her confidence continues to grow. Her knowledge of phonics and numbers has improved immensely in a few short weeks and is already starting to form words from her sounds! Having tapestry is one of my favourite tools as we as parents feel like we can really get an insight of what they are doing and continue with a part of their learning at home. All in all we as a family are so pleased with how she has adapted to “big school” and feel that it’s an excellent setting with fabulous teachers and assistants who Emily is very fond of all of them! As a whole we are very happy with our experience of Silver End Academy. Our daughter very much enjoys school, she is happy and confident there and has made lots of friends. Academically we are amazed at how quickly she seems to have come along, particularly in regards to her literacy and handwriting. We enjoy seeing how her day has gone and what the children have been working on over tapestry, we especially love the personalised messages with updates on our child specifically and being able to get in touch with teachers quickly when needed. EYFS staff have all been so prompt in responding when needed and our daughter also seems very fond of them all. All in all we are so pleased with how she has settled in and the progress she has made so far, we can't wait to see how she continues to grow and learn over the next years at Silver End Academy! Kristin

 

 I am very impressed with how quickly my daughter settled into school. In just the first half term she has progressed so much, not just with phonics and maths, but in her vocabulary and confidence. She is always happy to attend and loves to talk about her day. I love to see what she has been doing at school through Tapestry. It's a great way for children to share their daily activities. It's also a great way to communicate between parents and staff if you have any questions, concerns or praise for achievements. Grace mum

 

As a family we are so happy with how our son Ben has settled into school. The support we received from the EYFS has been great. Ben is so happy going into school and happy when he comes out too! I love how many different activities they do, also how much out side learning they have. Seeing on tapestry every day what he gets up to is great, I feel like I’m part of his day still! Sophie

 

So far our journey in early years has been nothing but positive. The staff have made what could have been a difficult transition much easier, despite all the restrictions in place, it has worked well. The children were eased in gently, and nothing was too much when we have asked for help or support. Any queries we’ve had have been answered promptly and professionally. I have to say I’m certainly enjoying my experience with the school as is my daughter. She often asks over the weekend when she can go back!I also have to say I’m honestly so surprised and pleased with the massive improvements I’ve seen in my daughters understanding, her reading and her spelling. And that’s down to how amazing you have all been in supporting their learning, and bringing out the best in all the children.I really enjoy all the updates throughout the day on tapestry. It’s great seeing what they have been learning and doing that day. It’s lovely to see their happy smiley faces in the pictures and the videos, I don’t think I could be without tapestry now!Thank you again for all your hard work. So far our experience has been very positive with EYFS. The early years team have continued to be warm and welcoming which has helped with the transition to school from pre school. The team are always happy to help with any requests or questions I may have.We love using Tapestry, it gives us an insight of what’s been going on during the day at school with observations and photos. It’s nice to see what they are learning and seeing them in action with videos. We also like being able so share things we’ve being doing out of school on tapestry and then in school they are given the opportunity to talk about their experiences. Tapestry is also really good for communicating with the early years team and being kept up to date with important information.   Hazel

 

Our experience of EYFS has been great. The transition period went so smoothly and the team have been so attentive and very welcoming especially considering the very strange circumstances. My daughter is so happy and loves coming into school, she thinks everyday is like a party! They are so busy all day everyday, and we love hearing about and seeing on tapestry all the exciting activities they have been taking part in. Every day is something new and exciting. Educationally i cannot believe how much they are learning in a such a fun way. Miss Harvey, Mrs Fenty and Mr Harris are so dedicated to the children and you can see this through everything they do for them and it reflects in the lovely things you hear from the children about them. We are so pleased with how well our Daughter has settled into the school. She comes home every day excited to tell us the new things she has learnt. The EYFS are fantastic, I cannot fault them at all! They keep us updated on what the children are doing in school each day through tapastry, and they make learning lots of fun! She has grown in confidence since joining silver end academy. Ebony has progressed so much in her reading, writing, phonics and using her songs of sounds. I am amazed at the attention to detail our Teachers have and how closely and attentively they support their pupils. It is amazing what a difference this first few months have made to my daughters education and I am excited and look forward to see more. Thank you. Grace 

 

I have been so impressed with the high level of teaching, interactive play and positive encouragement, that the teachers and support staff provide to all of the children. As a parent, Tapestry has been an invaluable tool, as we can see all of the amazing activities and learning my son is doing throughout the day. My son loves school, has made lots of friends and has grown in confidence since starting in September. Academically the progress he has made has been incredible and is a real credit to the teachers and support staff in The Early Years team. Simone
