Pottery Parent Session
In Mount Olympus, we have had the opportunity to explore the malleable material - clay. The children have learned about the history of this resource and that is has been used for thousands of years to make different types of household resources.
We have had the opportunity to make pinch pots, and added details of printing using our nails.
We have also made hand tiles using the prints from our hands. The children have learned that clay paste turns blue when heated in the kiln.
We can't wait to see the end products!
