Introducing Miss Anderson!

Hello! My Name is Miss Anderson and I am the Class Teacher in Mount Rushmore class. Teaching Reception is a very special part of my life that I love. Here is a little bit about me: 

Ever since I was a little girl I knew that I wanted to be a teacher! I also was a student at Silver End Academy many years ago, and I love that I get to now be a teacher at our school. 

I have worked in schools since 2017, and have worked in our Inspires MAT family since 2018! In this time I have worked in a range of classes, but have specialised in Early Years. I have taught Nursery, Reception and Year 1. 

I studied Performing Arts at University, and I love to play instruments and perform in shows! One of my favourite things to do in our class is sing songs together.

My favourite subject to teach is Literacy. I love teaching how to write super sentences, as well as teaching phonics to become amazing at reading! I also like to read stories. Some of my favourite stories are: 

Elmer, The Rainbow Fish, The Three Little Pigs and Cinderella

In my spare time I enjoy watching films, especially Disney princess films! My favourite films are Beauty and the Beast, Moana and Tangled.

I also like to spend time with my family and friends, explore new places, swim, go for walk and spend time with different animals. 

I am very proud to teach Mount Rushmore class, and I love welcoming new children into our school family.
