Message to parents 11.3.21
It has been so lovely to see the children back in school this week engaging with their learning. We look forward to speaking with you next week during our Parent Consultation evenings. From this week we will continue to set spellings on Purple Mash and test on Wednesdays. The PE days for year 3 this term are Thursday and Friday. Kits will be sent home on a Friday, please ensure they are returned clean on Monday. It is essential that children bring in their school water bottle everyday. Please be aware that our class email is no longer monitored, should you wish to contact us please contact the school office.
In the event your child needs to be off school due to isolation we have provided a work pack which can be used for home learning below.

We are incredibly proud of the children for their effort and attitude during what has been a difficult term. We also want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support at home. The children are enthusiastic about their learning and we have seen real progress, especially in reading and maths where your support at home has been invaluable.
During the holidays we have suggested to the children that they continue reading regularly and work on their times tables. Many children have made significant progress in these areas. The children were all sent home with reading books on Thursday. We have also attached some guidance on how we teach formal written methods in maths for addition and subtraction in case you wanted to help your child practise this over the holidays. This would help consolidate what we have been learning in school. Some parents have also asked us how to help their children with writing. The children are keen to gain their handwriting licenses and we have attached handwriting practise sheets to help with this. Keeping a diary over the holidays is a good way to practise writing regularly.
Most importantly, we wish you all a happy and safe Christmas and look forward to working with you all again in the New Year.
