Message to parents/carers and children
From Monday 1st June, school will begin to reopen for some year groups. Whilst, for now, this will not include Year 5, I will be in school on several days teaching the groups of children that are in. As I am sure you will understand this will make it impossible for me to set and reply to work online on a daily basis in addition to full school days.
As a school we are still committed to online learning so, as a solution, I am directing parents to BBC Skillswise or Oak National Academy lessons. These are excellent resources which provides age appropriate daily lessons across all subjects. Some English and Spellings will still be set on Purple Mash and following White Rose Maths is recommended. Any completed work should be sent to me via e-mail on Purple Mash or put in work folders on Purple Mash (if possible) or pupils to e-mail to let me know what they have completed. The pupils will receive weekly spellings to practice daily and to be tested on at the end of the week. Pupils could you please e-mail me your scores weekly.
From June 1st I will continue to be available on the email below but only on Mondays and Thursdays. I will be happy to offer any guidance and assistance with online learning on these days. The children can continue to email me via Purple Mash. Additionally, phone calls home will not be happening on a weekly basis, but fortnightly by myself or Miss Bird.
Thank you for your continued support.
Take care and stay safe
Monday 29th June 2020
Good morning London Bridge, I hope everyone is keeping well. Under normal circumstances, this week we would have been preparing for celebrating Get Witham Reading on Friday. Because of this, on the class web page I have uploaded some activities for the book Charlie and the chocolate factory as I am sure that most of you have read this book. Well done to everyone who completed the spellings last week, the brilliant scores that you are getting are reflecting all the effort that you are putting in learning them. I have included this weeks spellings as well as the French homework from Mrs Anderton in this message. I hope you all have a great week and please e-mail me through Purple Mash to let me know how you are getting on or need any support with your learning.
